New Harpist for the Lansing Symphony Orchestra

I have no idea how I actually won the audition!  I just had a baby this summer (he's 3 months old now!)  and the night before the audition he had a really rough night.  I think I had a grand total of 4 hours of sleep.  I went to the audition, wanting to win, but figuring that with my brain on auto pilot there really was no point.  Apparently the key to winning was being so tired I wasn't nervous.

I am so grateful to officially be a part of a symphony!  Especially one that I already know that I enjoy performing with.  Lansing is a little bit of a drive for me, but totally worth it!  My husband used to tell me that when I got a job with an orchestra I could buy a new harp, but I'm not sure that we can afford one yet, or that we can really justify the $30,000 purchase.

Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming LSO concerts this year!  We have some fun music to come and hear!
